Buscamper van Malte

Hello everyone,

I rent out my lovingly self-converted campervan called RIO here.

The vehicle:
The vehicle is a Renault Master in L2H2. The car has a lot of power and is very easy to drive thanks to its low weight and ideal length.

The driver\'s cabin:
The driver\'s cabin is separated from the living room by a small sliding door and has the following equipment: cruise control, air conditioning, rear parking sensors, radio with Bluetooth connection, two mobile phone holders

The living space:
The living room is equipped for two people. The bed is a fold-out bed and is approx. 165x185 cm. There are also two bench seats with storage space. A pull-out table and a small dry composting toilet for emergencies.
The kitchen area is beautiful and functional. With a large absorber fridge, enough pots and pans, as well as crockery, cutlery and a few spices, you can cook in a relaxed manner. You are welcome to use an external gas stove with two hobs (please bring your own gas cartridges). A sink with a 42 liter water tank is also available. The faucet can be pulled out so that you can also take a shower outdoors.

There is also a pantry, a small secret compartment for valuables and a shoe compartment.

A parking heater is also installed for the cold days. The living area is bright with four windows (two skylights). A fly screen and smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are also installed. Of course, there is also an emergency box.

The luggage room:
The luggage compartment is under the bed. There is a lot of storage space for the outdoor area and by arrangement and for a small surcharge I can provide you with the following things:
A table, two camping chairs, an outdoor carpet, a small gas grill, a tarp (this can be mounted in a piping rail on the van/ see photos), a stand-up paddle.
There is also a 20 meter power cable (for shore power supply), water hose with Alb filter for water tank supply) and a tool box in the luggage compartment.


The power setup:
The car has a 1500 kilowatt lithium power unit from Clayton. It can be used to supply both 12 volts and 230 volts in the living room. The two solar panels on the roof provide up to an additional 200 watts. The battery is also connected to the lighting system of the actual vehicle, so the battery is recharged fairly quickly while driving. Appropriate displays and apps give you an insight into the current power consumption and battery charge at all times.
It is important to know here: Self-sufficient standing without an additional power supply is only possible if the consumers are well regulated (refrigerator settings, device connections, etc.)
A self-sufficient summer holiday in Sweden is just as possible as a holiday at a campsite.

The van is equipped with many useful and beautiful details, so you only need to take bedding, clothes and your personal belongings with you.
Please note that the van was developed by myself as a hobby craftsman with a lot of love. Accordingly, it cannot be compared with a professional extension, but it is definitely comfortable and functional.
